What smart home wiring covers

Included work

  • Smart switch and dimmer installation with neutral runs
  • Structured wiring, Cat6 drops and network closets
  • Video doorbell and camera power and mounting
  • Smart thermostat C-wire installation
  • Whole-home audio and TV wall power and cable management
  • Automation hub power and rack circuits

Signs you need it

  • The smart switch you bought needs a neutral and the box has none.
  • Wi-Fi drops in half the house and you want hardwired drops.
  • The doorbell transformer is too weak for a video unit.
  • The thermostat has no C-wire.
  • Cables are hanging down the wall under the mounted TV.

How the job runs

  1. Check what the boxes have

Neutral availability decides which smart switches will work. We check before you buy the wrong ones.

  2. Plan the runs

Drop locations, closet placement and where the rack or hub will live.

  3. Install and terminate

Cabling pulled and terminated properly, tested, and labeled at both ends.

  4. Configure and demo

Devices paired, scenes tested, and shown to you so you can change them yourself later.

Questions

Why does my smart switch need a neutral wire?

Smart switches draw a small amount of power constantly to stay online. Older switch loops often have no neutral in the box, so we either pull one or use a no-neutral compatible device.

Can you run Ethernet in a finished house?

Usually yes, working from the attic or crawl. We map the runs first and tell you which rooms are difficult before quoting.

Will my automation still work if the internet goes down?

It depends on the platform. We favor setups where switches and scenes work locally, so a dropped connection does not leave you unable to turn a light on.

Can you power a video doorbell?

Yes — including transformer upgrades, which is the single most common reason a video doorbell keeps going offline.
